Famous people talk about their experiences with Rhinoplasty

The face is the first thing you notice when you look at a person, and the nose can be an important part of that. So it’s no surprise that rhinoplasty—a procedure to reshape the nose—is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries performed in America. But what about celebrities? Of course, celebrities get plastic surgery too, but many are more mysterious about it than others. While some stars will openly admit that they’ve had a procedure done, others like to keep silent or even lie about their involvement with plastic surgery. Let’s take a look at some famous faces who have spoken publicly (or not) about their experience with rhinoplasty:

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington is an American actress who has had rhinoplasty. She is best known for her role as Olivia Pope in the ABC drama Scandal.

Washington has talked about how she was happy with her results, saying that “it’s a beautiful thing to wake up and see something different.”

She also said that her experience was similar to getting braces: “I was like ‘It’s not going to be a big deal.’ And then I went into surgery and they put all these wires on me… It just felt like it was happening in slow motion.”

Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts is one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood and has been in the spotlight since she was a teenager. After becoming famous, Roberts had a nose job done. She said she wanted to fix her nose because it was crooked. The surgery made her feel better about herself and she said that it did not affect her acting career because the industry does not judge people based on their appearance.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston is one of the first celebrities to admit publicly that she had rhinoplasty. She told Vogue back in 2009 that, after receiving snide comments about her nose for years, she decided to go ahead and get it done. “I never thought I’d say this, but I’m actually thankful for the scar,” she said. “I was really self-conscious about it.”

Today, Jennifer Aniston is happy with her new nose—and all of Hollywood seems to agree: In 2012 and 2013 alone, Ms. Aniston was named People magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman in the World!

Nicole Kidman

     Nicole Kidman had rhinoplasty.

She is very happy with her results, and has said that the procedure was “no big deal.” She has also said that she would not hesitate to do it again if she needed surgery on other areas of her face.

Nicole Kidman is an actress, singer and producer who won an Academy Award for her performance in The Hours. She also received Golden Globe nominations for Moulin Rouge! (2001), Birth (2004), Rabbit Hole (2010) and Lion (2016). Kidman has been married twice: first to actor Tom Cruise from 1990 – 2001; then to country music star Keith Urban since 2006. Together they have two daughters: Sunday Rose KIdman Urban born January 2008; Faith Margaret Kidman Urban born July 2010.

Jamie Lee Curtis

Jamie Lee Curtis has had two rhinoplasty surgeries. She got her first one when she was 18 years old and working as an actress in New York City. The second happened more than 20 years later, when she decided to have the first surgery reversed after it became clear that it didn’t help her acting career.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Curtis explained how she felt about both procedures: “I’m happier now,” she said.

Shailene Woodley

A famous person who has been open about having a nose job is Shailene Woodley. She’s talked openly about her rhinoplasty in interviews and on social media, saying that she felt like people would be disappointed if they found out she didn’t have the surgery. “If I’m going to invest in my future and my career, which is something I plan on doing for a very long time, I want to make sure that everything is as perfect as possible,” Woodley said at the time of her surgery.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, she explained why she had decided to go through with it: “I think it’s important for me to be real with you guys,” she said. And being real meant getting plastic surgery—because how are we supposed to believe this beautiful woman was born with such perfect features?

Jennifer Grey

Jennifer Grey is an American actress. She appeared in the films Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination.

In her early years, Grey was well known for her dance skills and was subsequently cast in several musical films including Dirty Dancing and Footloose. After a successful surgery, she noticed that her breathing improved drastically. She went on to say that there were no side effects from being operated on and she’d recommend Rhinoplasty to anyone who thought their nose didn’t fit them properly!

Kate Hudson

Hollywood actress Kate Hudson said that she had a rhinoplasty when she was young, and hasn’t had any other plastic surgery.

She said that after having her nose job, she felt like it changed her life. She didn’t feel self-conscious about it anymore and could walk with her head held high. She is happy with her decision and has been open about it in interviews many times since then.#

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian has been open about having a nose job. She is a reality TV star and model who has been in the public eye for many years. Kim has had many other plastic surgeries, including breast implants, lip fillers and Botox injections. She’s even talked about her breast size on national TV (the Kardashians are known for being very open).

Hillary Duff

Hillary Duff said that she had a deviated septum and she did something about it because breathing is important to her. She said, “It was really annoying me and affecting my breathing so I decided to get it done.”

She’s not the only one who felt this way; many people have talked about their experiences with rhinoplasty. The famous singer Taylor Swift talked about how her nose was always a problem for her when she was younger because of its size, but now she gets compliments on it all the time!

Blake Lively

Blake Lively admits to having had plastic surgery on her nose, but it was for medical reasons. She had a deviated septum and had surgery to fix it. She said she did it to improve her breathing, but also because she felt like she looked better with straightened nostrils. Blake Lively is one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood and has no shame about her decision. In fact, she’s proud that she made this choice for herself and hopes other people will feel comfortable doing the same thing if they want it for themselves too!

Gabby Douglas

Gabby Douglas, a three-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time Olympian, was recently featured in an Olympics promo video where she opened up about how much self-confidence she gained from getting a nose job after being bullied.

Her nose was a source of insecurity for her as it made her feel like she wasn’t pretty enough to compete on the world stage. In the promotional clip, Gabby revealed that people would call her “big nose” and that caused her self-esteem issues early on.

After winning multiple medals, including two golds at Rio 2016 (Team USA’s most decorated athlete ever), Gabby decided to turn over a new leaf by changing one part of herself: her looks with plastic surgery. She explained: “I’m so happy I did [get rhinoplasty]. It was something that definitely boosted my confidence because growing up I always felt insecure about my appearance.”

It’s okay to get rhinoplasty!

Through the stories of these celebrities and their experiences, we can learn that it’s okay to get rhinoplasty. You don’t need to be famous or rich; you just need to feel like your nose isn’t right for your face.

If you’ve decided that getting rhinoplasty is right for you, then go ahead and do it! You may be nervous about the process and costs, but this will all be worth it when people start complimenting how cute your new nose looks in selfies.

Rhinoplasty is a fairly common procedure, and many people have had it done to improve their looks. After all, the nose is the first thing that people see when they look at you—so it’s important to feel confident about your appearance!
